Challenge

The renewable grid needs local, grid-aware coordination.

Switzerland is adding 1-2 GW of solar PV per year, creating periods of significant renewable oversupply.

Grid expansion is expensive, politically difficult, and slow.

Most PV is connected in distribution grids, where reinforcement is especially challenging.

Electricity market coordination still happens mainly at national level, not where local constraints appear.

Solution

Multi-market battery operation coordinated with the distribution grid.

Storage Control enables optimal revenue stacking for battery energy storage systems while coordinating with the local grid operator. The solution links the BESS with the DSO control system, making it possible to participate in electricity markets and provide local grid services.
